1972 Ferrari Daytona

Consignment sale:

Well maintained Euro spec car with 72,317km or 44,680 miles, clear Washington State title, VIN 13951, privately owned by the same gentleman for over 10 years and kept in a dry climate controlled garage.

This car was featured in the Car and Driver magazine article introducing the 550 Maranello, in which Brock Yates compared the two cars.

The car has been the recipient of many first class trophies at well established events.

It is very clean top to bottom and, despite being driven regularly, has been maintained for many years to a state of show worthiness.

Lemans spec 402 hp motor was rebuilt some years back.  The engine has seen less than 10,000 miles since the rebuild, runs extremely well, starts easily and does not smoke.

Gearbox is flawless and has excellent syncronizers.
Steering and suspension is tight and perfect.
Exhaust, clutch and drive line in excellent condition.
Brakes were completely rebuilt a few years ago, all 4 calipers professionally rebuilt with new pads and hoses. A new master cylinder was also installed.
Borani's and tires in excellent condition.

The body is in very fine condition, having been stripped and repainted by the previous owner.
Paint and body was done some years ago by Mark Schlacter, Metalkraft in Cincinnati Ohio and is currently a 9.5 out of 10.

The interior is tan, the leather all original and in very fine condition with mild patina.

The car is currently serviced and needs nothing. A spectacular, well sorted, eminently drivable classic, appreciating in value.

Priced accordingly, this fine automobile is available for viewing by appointment.
